The winery and vineyards of Lagar are located at the foot of the Cordillera de Los Andes in Alto Cachapoal, 600 m above sea level. The Cachapoal Valley has a Mediterranean climate, with a hot and dry growing season from September to May. The rains occur mainly in winter, between May and August, and add about 450 mm per year. One of the main characteristics of the climate near Los Andes is the great difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures, which can be more than 20ºC.
