Deep garnet-purple in color, Lafon-Rochet delivers commanding scents of baked blackberries, warm cassis and black cherry compote with suggestions of charcoal, tar and tobacco plus a hint of mushrooms. The medium to full-bodied palate is loaded with black fruit jam and earthy notes, supported by firm, chewy tannins.
