Nestled between the 1er Cru vineyards of Côte de Léchet and Vaillons in the south-east of Chablis, Domaine Sébastien Dampt stretches over 7 ha of some of the most sought-after terroirs in the region. Sebastien set up his Domaine in 2007, after working closing with his father Daniel and brother Vincent at Domaine Daniel Dampt. A clear superstar of the future, his wines are some of the purest, most ethereal expressions of Chablis – mostly vinified in stainless steel to safeguard the fruit’s nuanced expression of his terroirs.
The Côte de Lechet vineyard is located on the right bank of the Serein River and is known for its unique terroir, which contributes to the wine’s distinct character. The vineyard’s clay-limestone soil and exposure to sunlight create ideal conditions for growing Chardonnay grapes, which are exclusively used in the production of Sébastien Dampt Côte de Lechet.
